Community

The people who make an education possible.

GIWAS is not a programme that students pass through. It is a community they belong to — before, during, and long after their studies.

Who belongs here

Five kinds of people, one shared life. Each one gives something the others cannot supply alone.

01

Students

Secondary students preparing for college and undergraduates already studying — on campus, online, or through Dual Enrollment.

02

Alumni

Graduates who return as mentors, speakers, and hosts — the clearest evidence that this road can be walked.

03

Mentors

Teachers, professionals, and friends who meet regularly with a student, pray for them, and tell them the truth.

04

Families

Parents and guardians who carry the weight of decisions about cost, distance, and calling — and who should not carry it alone.

05

Supporters

Donors, churches, and institutions who fund the work and often become some of its most faithful friends.

How the community gathers

Mentoring circles

Small groups that meet through the year to read, ask hard questions, and keep promises to one another.

Family conversations

Honest sessions about cost, applications, visas, and expectations — attended by families, not only students.

Alumni return

Graduates come back to describe what study is actually like, and to answer the questions no brochure answers.
